Paperlocal

Trust / 01

Privacy without vague promises.

Paperlocal is designed so document contents are processed in your browser, not uploaded to us. This page explains the boundary plainly.

Your documents

Paperlocal reads the files you choose inside your browser tab. Merging, splitting, rotating, extracting, removing pages, and image-to-PDF conversion happen on your device. Paperlocal does not provide a document upload endpoint, account, or cloud document storage.

Closing or refreshing the working page clears the document selection. Downloads are saved wherever your browser normally saves files.

Website analytics and performance

Paperlocal uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate page visits, browser performance, and coarse outcomes such as whether a tool job started, succeeded, was cancelled, or failed. Failed jobs may include a controlled category such as encrypted, invalid input, resource limit, unsupported document, or engine error.

These events do not include document names, contents, file sizes, page counts, document metadata, raw error messages, or account and document identifiers. Analytics are best-effort: blocking or unavailable telemetry does not affect local PDF processing.

Like other website infrastructure, Vercel may process limited technical request information needed to serve the site and produce analytics. You can review the Vercel Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).

Data stored on your device

Paperlocal uses browser storage for product preferences and local-only information, including:

  • Your light, dark, or system theme preference.
  • The number of successful jobs completed in that browser.

You can remove this information by clearing site data in your browser.

Links and support

If you follow a link to GitHub or another website, that service receives information under its own privacy policy. Do not attach confidential documents or paste sensitive document contents into a public issue.

Questions or privacy concerns can be submitted through the support page.
