Report a bug or request a feature

Use the Paperlocal GitHub issue tracker for product feedback, compatibility reports, accessibility problems, and feature ideas. Existing reports are public and searchable.

What to include

  • The tool you were using and the step that failed.
  • Your browser name and version, device type, and operating system.
  • The exact error message, if one appeared.
  • Whether the PDF was encrypted, signed, form-enabled, unusually large, or created by specialist software.

Never upload a confidential PDF or paste personal, financial, health, legal, or other sensitive document contents into a public issue. A description of the file structure is usually enough.

Try these first

  1. Keep the original file, then refresh Paperlocal and select it again.
  2. Unlock password-protected PDFs in Preview or Acrobat and save a new copy.
  3. Try the latest version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge.
  4. For a large file, close other memory-heavy tabs and retry.

Security reports

Do not post exploitable security details in a public issue. Open a minimal report that asks the maintainer for a private reporting channel, without including the vulnerability details, proof of concept, or user data.
