Use the PaperLocal GitHub issue tracker for product feedback, compatibility reports, accessibility problems, and processing problems. The guided form includes a privacy check before submission. Existing reports are public and searchable.

Have an idea for making an existing workflow clearer, faster, or more dependable? Use the short improvement form. Do not quote or attach the document that prompted the idea.

- The tool you were using and the step that failed.
- Your browser name and version, device type, and operating system.
- The privacy-safe diagnostic block PaperLocal offers with an error, if available.
- Whether the PDF was encrypted, signed, form-enabled, unusually large, or created by specialist software.
Never upload a confidential PDF or paste personal, financial, health, legal, or other sensitive document contents into a public issue. A description of the file structure is usually enough.
Diagnostics are generated locally and are never submitted automatically. Review the report on GitHub before posting it.
Try these first
- Keep the original file, then refresh PaperLocal and select it again.
- Unlock password-protected PDFs in Preview or Acrobat and save a new copy.
- Try the latest version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge.
- For a large file, close other memory-heavy tabs and retry.
Security reports
Do not post exploitable security details in a public issue. Open a minimal report that asks the maintainer for a private reporting channel, without including the vulnerability details, proof of concept, or user data.
