Can it convert a scanned PDF or handwriting?
It can attempt local OCR on scanned pages and handwriting. Results vary with legibility, image quality, and layout; handwriting is not guaranteed to convert correctly. Compare important passages with the original even when no low-confidence warning appears.
Is the downloaded Markdown the version I edited?
Yes. Copy and download use the current Markdown source, including your edits. The reading view is a preview of that text, not a promise to preserve the PDF’s visual layout.
What if I only want text that is already selectable?
Choose Selectable text only. It skips OCR and flags image-only pages for review instead of inventing missing text.
